Layout and excavation
Set out against the drawing and dug to profile, with caliche priced as a possibility rather than as a surprise.
Pools / Pool Construction
Excavation through final finish, sequenced by one company with the inspection gates marked in writing.
Pool Construction in the Las Vegas valleyA pool build is eight or nine trades in a fixed order, and the schedule is only as good as the person holding it. Layout, excavation, steel, plumbing and electrical rough, gunite or shotcrete, cure, tile and coping, decking, equipment set, interior finish, fill and startup.
Miss the order and you pay twice. Deck poured before the equipment is set means cutting it. Plumbing signed off after the shell is shot means guessing. Interior finish applied in the wrong weather window means a surface that never cures right.
Caliche. Hit a hard layer and the excavation stops being a day job, and any builder who has not priced for the possibility will be having a conversation with you about a change order.
Ground movement. Expansive soil and a dry season followed by a monsoon puts real stress on a shell and on the deck around it.
Summer. Gunite cured in July needs water on it, repeatedly, and a crew that will not come back to do it will hand you a shell that is weaker than its spec.
Steel, plumbing pressure, gunite and final are inspection points, and we mark them in the schedule so you know what is waiting on the county and what is waiting on us. A builder who is vague about that timeline is usually vague because the timeline is not theirs.
What this covers
Once a pool is built, it needs regular care to keep the water, surfaces and equipment in good shape. Our pool service covers weekly cleaning and equipment checks, with pool repair when something fails. The acid wash and leak detection services are there when they are needed.
Set out against the drawing and dug to profile, with caliche priced as a possibility rather than as a surprise.
Bar placement and spacing to the engineering, inspected before anything covers it.
Lines sized for the equipment, pressure tested, bonding done properly, all before the shell.
Shot to profile and then actually cured, which in a Las Vegas summer means returning to water it.
The visible half, sequenced after the equipment is set so nothing gets cut back open.
Common questions
Typically two to four months from permit, with inspections and weather as the main variables. We give you the sequence with the gates marked so the waiting is legible.
A cemented hard layer common in this valley. Whether you hit it depends on the lot. We price the possibility rather than discovering it at your expense.
