Pool remodeling in Las Vegas

Most dated pools in this valley have good structure and a bad surface, which is a remodel rather than a rebuild.

A remodelled pool photographed along its edge: a new charcoal glass waterline tile band and new stone coping meeting the older, more weathered deck behind, with two wide water sheets falling from a refaced raised wall.Pool Remodeling in the Las Vegas valley

The typical candidate is a pool from the eighties or nineties: kidney shaped, stained plaster, small navy waterline tile, a cracked broom-finish deck and equipment that predates variable speed. The shell is usually sound. Everything you can see is not.

A remodel replaces the surfaces and the equipment and leaves the structure alone, which is why it costs a fraction of a new build and takes weeks rather than months.

What changes the look most, per dollar

Interior finish and coping, in that order. Going from worn white plaster to a mid-gray pebble changes the water from pale and tired to deep and green-blue, which is most of the perceived difference. New square-cut coping in place of bullnose does more for the lines than anything else at that price.

Waterline tile is small in area and large in effect. Deck replacement costs the most and changes the least, which is why we sequence it last unless it is actually failing.

What to fix while it is empty

An empty shell is the cheapest access you will ever have to the plumbing, the light niche and the main drain. Anything you were thinking of doing later should be done now.

What this covers

After the Build: Keeping It Running

Once a pool is built, it needs regular care to keep the water, surfaces and equipment in good shape. Our pool service covers weekly cleaning and equipment checks, with pool repair when something fails. The acid wash and leak detection services are there when they are needed.

Every part of the job, under one team

Interior resurfacing

Plaster, quartz or pebble, which is the single biggest change to how the water reads.

Coping replacement

Square-cut stone in place of bullnose, which does more for the lines than the price suggests.

Waterline tile

Small area, large effect, and the fastest way to date or undate a pool.

Equipment modernisation

Variable speed, current filtration and automation, usually with a payback period worth quoting.

Deck and surround

Replacing cracked concrete with pavers, sequenced after the wet work.

Common questions

What homeowners ask us first

Is my pool worth remodeling or should I replace it?

If the shell is sound, remodel. A structural crack that moves, or a shape that fundamentally does not work for the yard, are the two cases where replacement is honest advice.

How long does a remodel take?

Usually two to five weeks depending on scope and on whether the deck is included. Far less disruption than a new build.
